MedWare's Benefits
At the successful conclusion of a 90-Day Orientation Period,
full-time employees will be eligible to participate in the
MedWare Benefit Plan, which includes
Health Insurance
Provided by United Healthcare we offer a dual option to employees
within Florida, and HMO or POS. United's HMO is a managed
care product comprised of leading physicians throughout the
State. The HMO offers optimum care with the least out of pocket
costs to the participant who must work within the guidelines
and structure.
The POS is a hybrid of the traditional HMO and PPO. It is
managed care with the flexibility to go beyond the boundaries
of the traditional structure
For employees residing outside of Florida, United offers
a PPO. The PPO allows participants the ability to deal with
physicians of their choice, without having to adhere totally
to the United provider list. MedWare chose the PPO option
for our remote employees so they may participate and utilize
services that are geographically more convenient for them.
Dental Insurance
Is available through Guardian Insurance. Guardian offers
a dual option and participants may select from the DMO or
PPO. The DMO is a bit more restrictive, but again is the least
out of pocket expense for the participant who must select
a provider from Guardian's expansive provider list. The PPO
allows more flexibility, allowing participants to either utilize
or not utilize the PPO providers.
Vision Insurance
Provided by Vision Service Plan the plan requires participants
to utilize provider members for services. The plan offers
a variety of discounts not only on services, but also on products
including frames.
